Head of Kermanshah seismological centre Farhad Forouzi told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) that the quake hit the area of Sumar, on the borders of Kermnashah and Ilam provinces at 10:29 am local time (6:59 GMT). The tremor's epicenter was registered about 13 km from Sumar, 43 km from Gilan-e Gharb and 139 km from the city of Kermanshah.
