Southern Thailand, Early December 2022ADINet reported flooding affected areas of Southern Thailand from 03 December 2022. Heavy rain was brought by an active low-pressure cell covering the lower Andaman Sea while the monsoon trough still runs through the lower south together with the moderate northeast monsoon and the southeast wind prevailing over the Gulf of Thailand and the South. Flooding was reported in the provinces of Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Ranong, Nakhon Si Thammarat Surat Thani, and Phatthalung.
